Due to the uncertainty of the situation, we have advised our SSTC supervisory staff to avoid going into the hospitals and instead to advise and supervise through teleconferencing and other means. Luckily, many of our hospital-based dysphagia clinicians now require minimal supervision and are continuing to assess and treat patients in their respective hospitals
Our team continues to work together to provide remote supervision and consultation with the hospital clinicians and hospital directors. The team is also refining training and documentation materials and developing strategic planning for future years.
Annie is currently in the UK, working with her colleagues and clinicians in Cambodia via Skype, and Raul has returned to his home in Phoenix, Arizona. Annie plans to return to Cambodia in August.
We are hopeful that Cambodia will continue to limit the scope of this health crisis, and that we will be able to resume our onsite supervision and trainings soon.
