SSTC would like to congratulate our eleven nurse trainees from the Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital for the completion of their training in swallow screening. They have completed their theoretical study, passed their exams, and successfully demonstrated their dysphagia screening skills in their supervised clinical practicums.
The nurse trainees’ efforts are crucial to the well-being of KSFH patients to help them to overcome eating and swallowing difficulties, malnutrition, and risk of aspiration pneumonia. At SSTC we will continue to strive to train our Cambodian dysphagia clinicians so that they may better serve all Cambodians in need.
Thanks to Professor Navuth for supporting this training, to Dr. Veasna for organizing this training, and to Ms. Sreymouy for her dedication as a great Cambodian dysphagia supervisor.
