We’re happy to share that our SSTC collaboration with the University of Puthisastra and the Rotary International Foundation for the “Foundations of Adult Dysphagia Management” course is now in its fifth week!
Mr. Sorn Thonn, a course trainee and a physical therapist at Sunrise Japan Hospital in Phnom Penh, sees the need for this groundbreaking course.
“I am interested in this skill because in Cambodia we don’t have this clear skill yet and this skill is not very well known yet in the healthcare system…. It is very good to have this skill to treat patients to be safe from their swallowing.”
The employers of the Cambodian medical professional trainees have pledged to support them during their one-year training and to provide ongoing and lasting dysphagia services for hospital patients in their care.
